On Palm Sunday, we are privileged to listen to one of the great Passion narratives. In Matthew’s account, we see Jesus as a still-point in the maelstrom, as God’s fidelity amidst a cacophony of sin. In the course of the Passion, Jesus confronts betrayal, laziness, violence, untruth, abuse of power, self-destruction, and wanton cruelty—the whole panoply of human dysfunction. And he takes away this sin precisely by his obedience and his mercy.

This was by far the best Good Friday message I've ever heard. Thank you, and God bless you and your team as you evangelize and help us understand our Faith.

Thank you Bishop Barron! Your sermons are great 👍. I like the references that you use, especially the cutting off of the ear as spiritual deafness, that violence & power cuts off reason and connectedness. So true in today’s misguided faith in politics and the global institution. Also, cowardice & the reference to Judas & Peter and the blessing of forgiveness that the New Testament preaches. God bless you Bishop Barron!

I firmly believe God shows love to all who have sinned, but unless we as Christian's are able to accept and admit our own truths then we are not able to accept love with an open untainted heart and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.
